US Army Air Force
Training Manual, Sperry Automatic Computing Gunsights Type K3, K4, K5
This is an original WWII-era training manual for the Sperry Automatic Computing Gunsights Types K3, K4, and K5 as used in bomber aircraft of the US Army Air Force and US Navy, such as the B-17 and B-24. Entitled 'Work Sheets', this manual was used in the training of armorers at the Armament Department at Lowry Field, Colorado. The K3, K4, and K5 gunsights were used in manned gun turrets.
This 60-page manual describes the disassembly, adjustment, boresighting, harmonization, and installation of these gunsights. It is in reasonably good condition given its age.
