Fuhrertochterkompass, Fl23334, German Luftwaffe

$1,200.00

This is an authentic WWII-era Fuhrertochterkompass Fl23334, or repeater compass, that was installed on the instrument panel of a number of aircraft of the German Luftwaffe, such as Messerschmitt Bf 109 and Me 262, Focke Wulf Fw 190, Dornier Do 335, Junkers Ju 88 and others.

The primary compass transmitted an electric signal to the repeater compass to indicate the direction of travel.  The knurled dial around the face can be rotated by the pilot or crew member to the desired direction of flight, which would be followed by the pilot to maintain the proper course.

It is in superb condition given its age. The compass card rotates freely, and the knurled dial can be rotated as intended.  Measures ~ 3.25 in diameter and ~6 in long.
