Fuel Quantity Indicator, 6 Tank, EA-47W-2C, B-17 Flying Fortress

$395.00

This is an authentic WWII-era six-tank Fuel Quantity Indicator made by Liquidometer, PN EA-47W-2C, as used in the US Army Air Force's Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bomber.

Each of the four engines in a B-17 had a fuel tank in the wing. Engines 1 & 4 each had a 425 gallon tank, and Engines 2 &3 each had a 213 gallon tank.  There were also two 212 gallon feeder tanks one in each wing. The knob situated below the display on the indicator rotates to the engine fuel tank display 1 thru 4 and the left hand (LH) and right hand (RH) feeder tanks.  There is a red low fuel warning light at the top center.

The instrument is experienced but is in exceptional condition for its age.  The dial markings are clear and the glass and case are intact. Measures 3.25 inches wide by 5.75 inches high and 5.5 inches deep.
