Fuel Quantity, Bomb Bay Tanks, DJ-20

Here is a WWII-era or post-war era Bomb Bay Fuel Quantity indicator, GE Type DJ-20, model 8DJ20AFM, stock number R88-I-2065-727. This indicator shows the fuel remaining in each of four auxilliary fuel tanks located in the bomb bay of the aircraft:  Forward Left and Right Hand, and Aft Left and Right Hand tanks. Each tank has a capacity of 250 US gallons, totaling 1000 gallons in all.  Bomb bay fuel tanks were typically installed in the bomb bay for aircraft ferrying missions, and may have been 'droppable' in-flight from the bomb bay if needed.  We have not determined the exact type of bomber aircraft that used this indicator.

The indicator is in exceptional condition given its age. The glass and case are intact and the lettering is clear and precise. Measures 3.25 inches diameter and ~3 inches deep.
