Carburetor Temperature Indicator Weston 606, P-38A, P-40B

$39.50

Here is an authentic WW2-vintage Carburetor Temperature Indicator as appeared in the early versions of WW2 Fighters Curtiss P-40B Warhawk and Lockheed P-38A Lightning, made by Weston, model 606. See photo of the P-40B Instrument Panel in an P-40B displayed in the USN Aviation Museum in Pensacola FL showing instrument location with a red dot. Also see the photo of the P-38A instrument panel from the RAF Lightning 1 Service Manual showing the indicator for the port engine.

It is in exceptional condition given its age. The glass and case are intact.  The green & red tape markings on the glass indicate the max limits for the aircraft in which it had been installed.  The yellow paint on the bottom was used to indicate if the pointer calibration screw had been tampered since last calibration (the paint is intact).
