Bendix Aviation Equipment Service Guide, 1943: Eclipse, Stromberg, Scintilla, Pioneer
Here is an original WWII-era (1943) Service Guide for aviation equipment made by the Bendix Aviation Corporation under its brands Eclipse, Stromberg, Pioneer, Scintilla, and Friez. It covers instruments, landing gear, carburetors, magnetos, hydraulics, armament, turrets, and radio equipment. With over 400 pages, including several fold-out diagrams, it is ~1 inch thick by 6 inches by 8 inches.
This edition contains a misprint of pages 201-239 covering about 10 pages of the Scintilla chapter and most of the Friez test/recording instruments chapter. The binding is intact, which leads to a conclusion of a misprint. Other chapters appear to be intact. It is still a valuable reference for Eclipse, Stromberg, & Pioneer products and for Bendix armament and radio.
