Aircraft Clock, 8-day, Type A-11 AN-5743-1 with Stand
This is a mechanical WWII-era aircraft clock, Type 11 AN-5743-1, that was used across nearly all aircraft of the US Air Corps and Air Force, including bombers B-17, B-24, B-25, and fighters P-38, P-40, P-47, and P-51. It is mounted in a custom metal desktop stand.
The time is set by pulling out and rotating the knob at the front corner and rotating. The clock does not run, but could possibly be repaired. The serial number prefix of 44 indicates a year of manufacture of 1944. The clock itself measures ~2.25 square and ~1.25 inches deep. The hands appear to have been painted white. The stand measures 2.75 inches square, 2.25 inches deep, with a front stand about 0.5 inches high. The stand itself is very well made.
