P-51H Mustang Pilot's Flight Operation Manual
This is an original Pilot's Flight Operation Manual for the North American P-51H Mustang as used by the US Army Air Force.
The P-51H was the last production version of the P-51. It was considered the "Lightweight Mustang" and had a new wing design, a longer fuselage, and a taller tail fin.
The serial number of the aircraft written on the cover, 44-64232, served with the 65 Fighter Squadron of the 57th Fighter Group and crashed on take-off from Mile 26 Field, Alaska, due to engine failure on May 31, 1947.
This 65-page manual, dated October 1945 and revised April 1946, includes at the back an interesting 12-page Technical Order 02-1-38 Specified and Alternate Grade Fuel for Aircraft Engine Combinations dated Sept 1945. It is in good condition given its age.
