Nautical Sextant, 1985 (SEXT45)
This is similar to RAF WWII-era nautical sextant 6B/177 used in WWII flying boats from the UK, but made in 1985.
According to collector George Fulford's notes:
I love these miniature flying boat sextants – hence this second copy and another after this one. Note the date and the fact that it has no RAF 6B designation; otherwise it is precisely the same. That fact and the date of manufacture suggests to me that it was produced post war for the cruising boat fraternity who would have wanted such a size because of limited locker space. This one is in pristine condition.
