General Electric
Flap Position Indicator, General Electric DJ-17ABE Boeing B-50 Superfortress
$29.50
This is a vintage Wing Flap Position Indicator made by General Electric Type DJ-17 Model 8DJ17ABE, as appeared in the Co-Pilot's Panel on the post WW2-era Boeing B-50D Superfortress Very Heavy Bomber. See photo of the Co-Pilots Panel of a B-50D from its flight manual, showing the position of this indicator with a red dot. Not yet confirmed, but this may have also been used on the Boeing C-97 Stratofreighter and KC-97 Stratotanker since they are brethren to the B-50 and shared many technologies.
The instrument is in exceptional condition for its age. The dial markings are clear and the glass and case are intact. See photos. This would be a very cool addition to your collection, or for that B-50 that you are building in your garage.
