Manning, Maxwell, & Moore
Torquemeter Gage / Indicator, Dual Engine, C-119 Boxcar 0-250 PSI
This is Torquemeter Gage, i.e., a Torque Pressure Indicator, for a dual engine aircraft, made by Manning Maxwell and Moore, PN 6960-26, as appeared in early versions of the US Air Force transport the C-119 Fairchild Flying Boxcar during the 1950s. See photo of the C-119 instrument panel from its Flight Manual dated 1950 showing the location of the instrument.
The instrument is decent but experienced condition given its age. The dial markings are clear and the glass and case are intact. The limit markings (green/red) along the circumference of the glass match the limits per the flight manual (see photo of the markings from the manual). Would be a terrific addition to any collection of Korean War or Cold-War-era aviation memorabilia.
