B-29 Superfortress Service School Manual

This is an authentic WWII-era compilation of original student training instructions for servicing the US Army Air Force Boeing B-29 Superfortress heavy bomber from the Academic Department of the Amarillo Army Air Field . This 1.5 inch thick manual contains a collection of training instructions from 1944 and 1945 for select systems of the B-29, including air frames, ventilation, engines, hydraulics, electrical, etc.   

This was a personal compilation of a student or an instructor at the Amarillo Texas B-29 service school. The loose-leaf binder cover is detached from its spine and the condition of its pages are evidence of its age. However, the contents are original and, while some pages are faded, most are readily legible. Pages are 8.5 inches by 11 inches.
