Here is an authentic original Bomb Release Handle Mark 4 Mod 3 as used in WWII aircraft such as the US Navy's Douglas SBD Dauntless Dive Bomber and Curtiss SB2C Helldiver.

This lever assembly would be mounted in the cockpit and control the release of bombs affixed to racks under each wing. When the bottom lever is moved from Safe to Armed, the top levers can now be moved. The top lever can release either left or right wing racks separately by shifting the lever left or right and pulling back, or it can release (salvo) both racks simultaneously by shifting the lever to the center position and pulling back.
