F-100 Super Sabre Throttle Quadrant PN 2995-945-8838
This is an authentic Throttle Quadrant from the iconic Cold War-era USAF North American F-100 Super Sabre jet fighter, assembly number 2995-945-8838.
The throttle quadrant was installed within the left cockpit console. The throttle arm moves forward and back from Off, Ignition, Idle, to Military-Extended, Afterburner (Min and Max). The throttle grip contains the speed brake control switch, microphone switch, and the gunsight caging switch. Twisting the grip adjusts the gunsight for manual ranging. All buttons, switches, and grip rotation appear to operate mechanically as they should. The friction arm moves forward and back to adjust the tension of the throttle arm to suit the pilot's preferences.
Measures approximately 15" x 9" x 5". What a great addition to the collection this could be. Have fun imagining the maneuvers of the pilots who gripped this throttle.
