B-47 Stratojet Bomber Range Computer (Paperboard) Rev. 1, Mar 1952
This is an authentic Range Computer designed specifically for use in the USAF Boeing B-47 Stratojet Strategic Bomber in 1952. This rather-complicated 7-inch computer is essentially a 3-disk slide rule used to determine the range of the aircraft in nautical miles under various conditions of air speed, outside air temperature, altitude, aircraft weight, and number of engines in use.
This version has a stiff paperboard center disk with two rotating paperboard cards on either side and a rotating alignment arm on one side.
This is a unique find indeed!
