Tachometer, Electric, Kollsman 377 Series 4000 RPM

This WWII-era, single-engine electric Tachometer was in the 377 series from Kollsman.  The pointer rotates clockwise one full rotation to 2000 RPM, and another full rotation to 4000 RPM. The aircraft from which this instrument was removed appears to have had an upper operating limit of 2800 RPM judging from the limit markings in thin red tape that have been applied upon the numerical scale beneath the glass.  The type of aircraft which used this tachometer has not yet been identified by us.

It is in exceptional cosmetic condition for its age.  Handwritten overhaul markings are on the back, dated Oct 29, 1946.  Measures 3.25 inches diameter and ~5 inches deep.
