Pitot Tube Type D-1, USN 88-T-2998

$95.00

This is a WWII-era Pitot Tube, Type D-1 (also AN5816-2), as used by aircraft of the US Army Air Force and US Navy, such as bombers B-24 Liberator, B-25 Mitchell, B-26 Marauder, and A-26 Invader, fighters P-39 Airacobra, P-40 Warhawk, and P-47 Thunderbolt, dive bomber SBD Dauntless, and torpedo bomber TBM Avenger (see illustration from the TBM Erection and Maintenance Manual dated 1944). On most bombers, this pitot tube would be mounted on a stanchion on a side of the fuselage, and on fighters, mounted on the wing. This example is made by Kollsman, part number 369N-010.  This pitot tube is labeled BU AERO USN, so it was used on a US Navy aircraft.

This pitot tube is in good condition given its age.  Measures 13 inches long.  Note that the actual unit shipped may differ slightly from these photos.
