Combat Air Patrol, Training Booklet, US Navy 1944
$45.00
This is an original WWII-era training booklet published by the US Navy's Aviation Training Division in 1944. Combat Air Patrol (CAP) was an operation orchestrated by a carrier-based Fighter Director to position one or more groups of fighters in an aggressive defensive posture over an aircraft carrier. The 36-page booklet covers the strategy, terminology, operations, formations, and execution of CAP. It is number eight in the Fixed Gunnery and Combat Tactics series.
The 8 inch by 10 inch booklet is in very good condition given its age.
