Compass, Remote Indicating

This Remote Indicating Compass is similar to AN-5730-2 in that it has an adjustable course indicator but lacks a directional compass needle. The course indicator is adjusted by rotating the screw in the upper right corner. We are unsure of the actual intended application of this indicator.
