Camera, Aircraft, Type K-25B, Kodak Anastigmat Lens, Fairchild, with Case

$149.00

The K-25 Aerial Camera was used during WWII for daylight reconnaissance photography to produce 4"x5" prints.  This camera, made by Fairchild, was electrical, requiring a 24v input using the side mounted connection, but may be operated mechanically by turning the key.  Aperture is adjustable from f-4.5 to f-22, and shutter speed is adjustable from 125 to 500, both adjustments are made using dedicated knobs adjacent to the lens. The lens, a Kodak Anastigmat, protects the shutter within, which is activated by turning the removable key. Activation can be set by time by using the timer adjacent to the key.

This camera was originally manufactured as a K-25 A, then subsequently modified to a K-25 B.  The specifics of the modifications is not known.

The camera comes with its original case and a film-threading plate.  The case has compartments which suggest that it might have once contained additional lenses, filters, or film spools, not included.
