Aircraft Electrical Instruments Preliminary Course Instructions 1942

$45.00

Here is a course manual with an interesting past.

This Aircraft Electrical Instruments Preliminary Course trained civilians for employment at air depots to supplement the war effort during WWII.  The US Office of Education in cooperation with the US Board for Vocational Education prepared this course for the Air Service Command, US Army Air Corps, in 1942.

The manual covers the inspection, maintenance, overhaul, and calibration of electrical aircraft instruments commonly used in the 1940's, such as ammeters and voltmeters, but also electrically-powered systems instruments such as tachometers, fuel cell analyzers, position indicators, fuel level, pressure, temperature, and versions of those instruments of the Autosyn and Selsyn designs. It is ~1/2 inch thick and over 100 pages with text, diagrams, photographs, and illustrations. The section pages are color-coded yellow, beige, pink, and blue.

The manual is standard 8.5" x 11" format.  It is very well preserved for its age.  All pages appear intact without rips or blemishes.
