Airspeed Indicator, USSR, MiG-15 Jet Fighter, 0-1,200 km/h
This is an exceptional example of a Soviet Airspeed Indicator as used in the 1950's Korean War-era MiG-15 jet fighter of the USSR Air Force. It is the same model/type, KYC-1200, appearing in the MiG-15 Flight Manual dated 1955, see photos, with a maximum speed indication of 1,200 km/h.
There are two pointers, the narrower pointer which indicates airspeed in 10 km/h increments rests behind the thick pointer, which indicate airspeed in 100 km/h increments, and is not visible in the photo. For example, if the thick pointer was at 80, and the narrow pointer was at 20, the aircraft was traveling at 820 km/h.
It is in exceptional condition for its age. Measures ~3.25 inches diameter and ~5 inches deep.
