Aircraft Clock, Russian/USSR, Submarine, Ship Chronograph 129 ChS 55M

$250.00

From our own internet research, the 129 ChS 55M Clocks may have been used in Soviet aircraft (such as Tupolev bombers), ships/submarines, and underground missile silos. Manufactured in the 1980-90's.

Since the factory seals are intact over screw heads, we have not opened case to examine the movement. It is represented elsewhere on the internet as a fully mechanical (Caliber 66970, 15 Jewels), wind up clock with 3-day running reserve, 2-day launch sequence indicator, luminous hands and 24-hour (military time) clock face, built-in 27-volt heater.

The clock has the following features:

  • 48 hr switch indicates 2 x 24-hour time periods.
  • Provides an electrical impulse every 4 hours (standard naval watch period).
  • Individual alarm
  • 195 hour reserve

The clock appears to be new old stock and works; there is not a single cosmetic flaw discovered in our examination of the artifact.  It is installed in a simple and elegant stand with polymer feet.  The clock itself measures ~3.5 inches diameter and ~4 inches deep. The stand measures ~5.5 inches tall, ~5 inches wide, and ~4 inches deep.
